GameChanger Named to Inc 500/5000 List of fastest growing companies

GameChanger Ranks #518 of Fastest Growing Companies

GameChanger Products , a growth and innovation consulting firm for major brands, announced today that Inc. Magazine has ranked it No. 518 on its sixth annual Inc. 500/5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies.

GameChanger received rankings of #22 among all San Francisco area companies and #58 among all advertising and marketing companies. It was also the #1 ranked innovation consulting firm on the list. The Inc. 500/5000 represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy — America’s independent entrepreneurs.

GameChanger earned its ranking on the 2012 Inc. list by virtue of its phenomenal sales growth of 742% between 2008 and 2011.

GameChanger, which provides consulting for Fortune 500 consumer products companies, helps corporations instill an entrepreneurial mindset, while also shortening – and sharpening – the innovation process, reducing costs and increasing the success rate. Its services include Retail Lab™, where companies can test sell new products to live customers in real stores; GC Combinator™, where teams of entrepreneurs work with corporate managers to build innovative new products; and MVP Product Sourcing, which helps companies build inexpensive, sellable prototype products.

GameChanger has assembled a top-flight marketing team with a diverse mix of experience. It includes former marketers and executives from Procter & Gamble, Apple Computer, Unilever, eBay, Starbucks, Clif Bar, Expedia, Bare Escentuals, eLoan and Annie’s Homegrown. GameChanger CEO and Founder Larry Popelka is former Vice President of Marketing at the Clorox Company and was responsible for the development of Green Works Cleaners, a $100 million brand that launched in 2007.

“We are thrilled to be included for the first time on the prestigious Inc. 500/5000 list,” said Popelka. “It’s a terrific validation of our unique approach that many new companies are using to reignite innovation. To this point our company has grown almost entirely through word of mouth, and the clients we have are typically hiring us for multiple engagements – as our process is fast, cost effective and gets results. In fact, many of our clients are integrating elements of our process into their own.”
