Former GameChanger Marketing Associate Valerie Popelka, who left us recently to start a new food company, Kuli Kuli, is having great success. Kuli Kuli announced today that they raised $4.25M in Series A funding.
The funding round was led the Kellogg Company’s new VC Fund, Eighteen94 Capital. Other investors InvestEco and S2G Ventures. This is Eighteen94 Capital’s first investment.
Kuli Kuli sells moringa-based food products. Moringa is a new superfood sourced from Africa that is high in calcium, protein and other nutrients. Kuli Kuli sells moringa powder, bars and energy shots. The products are sold in over 2000 U.S. Supermarkets, including Whole Foods, and the company hopes to accelerate expansion with the new investment.
During Kuli Kuli’s early days, research and testing was conducted using GameChanger’s processes to optimize the products, positioning, marketing and packaging.
